Step 10: Define Element Type and Boundary Conditions

Suppose that we want to set the same element type (in particular, the same material) for the entire mesh model and a single type of boundary conditions on all surfaces. This is done by defining an element block and a node set, respectively; the identification (ID) numbers of such entity are assigned by the user, based on any views that are relevant for the analysis. The element block and node set are defined by the following commands:

FIDESYS> block 100 volume 1

FIDESYS> nodeset 100 surface all in volume 1
