Saving Animation in FidesysViewer

To save an animation as a series of images or a video file, use menu item File - Save Animation. A dialog box will open saving animation, in which you choose where to save the file and which one format to use. After selecting a file and format, a dialog box will appear window (Fig. 1).

The following options are available:

• Image Resolution: This is the target image resolution in pixels. By default, the view's current dimensions are set. You can change it as needed. If the resolution is greater than the current one, FidesysViewer will use mosaic to render a complete image in several stages. To get reliable results, you can specify the current aspect ratio. You can use Tools - Block aspect ratio or click on the on the panel, to fix the size of the view to a suitable aspect ratio.
• Font scale: If set to a resolution higher than the current resolution, this allows you to control the scaling of fonts. Default "Scale fonts proportionally" tries to achieve WYSIWYG, as long as the aspect ratio is maintained. It is suitable for saving images, intended to be displayed at a higher DPI (or PPI) than your screen. "Don't scale fonts" can be used to avoid scaling fonts and keeping their pixel size the same, like the one currently on the screen. It is suitable for saving images intended for a larger display so same pixel resolution.
• Change color palette: You can change the color palette if you wish. palette only to save a screenshot using the drop-down list.
• Stereo Mode: This option allows you to save the image using one of the supported stereo pair modes.
• Background transparency: If the file format supports it, you can check this box to save images with a transparent background, and not with the current background color.
• Format: Shows the file format selected in the save dialog file.

For formats with different options, such as compression levels, in the dialog The "Animation Saving Options" window contains options specific to for format. The PNG format has a Compression Level parameter, which is located ranging from 0 (no compression) to 9 (maximum compression). Format options JPEG: "Quality" (from 0 to 100) and "Progressive", allowing you to save progressive scan JPEG file. The TIFF file format has “Compression” parameter with possible values ​​of None, PackBits and Deflate. Format BMP file has no parameters. AVI and Ogg video formats are also available.

• Frame Rate: When saving animation as a video file (AVI or Ogg), rather than a series of images, this option allows you to specify frame rate for the created video. It has no effect when saving as a series of images.
• Frame window: if you do not want to save the full animation, but limit yourself to specific window, you can use this option to specify range of saved frames. If you are creating an animation from a set of temporary data with time steps, the frame usually corresponds to the time step number step.

FidesysViewer has the ability to save animation in the format msp4. To do this, go to the standard line Tools - Manage Plugins.

In “Local plugins” find MP4, check the “Startup” checkbox and click “Download selected.”
