According to one of the preferred methods for determining the given stresses, along with Mises stresses, the theory of maximum tangential stresses Tresca-Saint-Venant (3 theory of strength). Given the stresses of this theory are determined by the formula:
where σ1 is the algebraically greatest principal stress; σ3 - algebraically the smallest principal stress.
To see the results corresponding to this theory strength, you need to apply the “Strength Theory” filter in FidesysViewer Tresca–Saint-Venant.” For convenience of comparison with Mises stresses within one window, you must check the box before applying the filter "Copy arrays."
